State of Babies Yearbook: 2019

The recently released State of Babies Yearbook: 2019 by Zero to Three and Child Trends ranks all 50 states and the District of Columbia based on how babies born there fare in the categories of good health, strong families, and positive early-learning opportunities.  While Ohio was ranked in the 2nd highest “Improving Outcomes” category, our state compares unfavorably to others in a few key areas, specifically infant mortality, number of average ACEs per child, percentage of families that report resilience and the percentage of income-eligible infants/toddlers with Early Head Start access.
